Welcome to your guided meditation: embodying the lotus heart.
Lotus flowers are very symbolic in so many cultures around the world, whether it be Egypt, South Asia, or East Asia.
Lotus flowers are unique in that they open and close daily they go down into the dirty, muckiest water and then they rise above the surface and open.
And so lotus flowers are symbolic of our ability to rise above the circumstances and of our resilience.
In Yoga and meditation, we can visualize the heart as a lotus flower unfolding at the center of our chest like the lotus that contracts and opens according to the light, our spiritual hearts can be awakened through various practices. this one is one of those.
This meditation focuses on the seat of one's lotus heart. For some of you, this will feel like a very natural place to rest your awareness. For others, you might observe that the restless nature of the mind doesn't subside so easily so be patient with yourself.
This meditation serves 2 purposes first, to focus the mind on an object as an internal seat.
and second to receive the healing benefits of being connected to the heart, the place of unconditional love.
